HOLY EROTICA
EROTIC MEETS ENLIGHTENMENT
-
LILITH is a feminine figure in Mesopotamian and Jewish mythology, theorized to be the first wife of Adam and a primordial she-demon. Lilith is cited as having been "banished" from the Garden of Eden for not complying with and obeying Adam.
The role she plays in Holy Erotica is a symbolic one. Lilith represents the sexual feminine that I demonized as a Christian man, an archetype that I discovered and reconciled with while making these short films.

HOLY EROTICA | SHORT FILMS

THE LILITH TRILOGY
3 SHORTS | 3 LECTURES | 3 CORE BELIEFS
EROTIC SHORTS + LECTURES

THE short films | A FOUNDATION
The first three Holy Erotica short films are foundational, establishing the framework for curating artifacts and offering core beliefs for the community’s engagement. Each film is paired with a LECTURE that provides both backstory and deeper insight into the short films and related artifacts.
These LECTURES serve as a gathering point, fostering a sense of community by encouraging shared reflection, open dialogue, and collective exploration of the ideas presented.
THE LILITH TRILOGY
My first three erotic short films form The Lilith Trilogy, created during the deconstruction and reconstruction of my Christian faith. Through the arc of these films, I uncovered a missing feminine narrative that both challenged and expanded my patriarchal theology.
The archetype of Lilith transformed my understanding of Old Testament theology, while the story of Mary Magdalene reshaped my view of the New Testament. These revelations led me to a “third testament” concept of the Erotic Christ — a transfigured reconciliation of my sacred and profane halves, an embodiment of love that bridged my divide between God and sex, healing the shame and separation within me.

This is where you read my INTROSPECTION of each artifact. The study summary sets the frame, tells the story, and gives introspection. It uncovers the filmmaker and subject’s journey, exploring relational and cultural dynamics, and highlight embodied experiences while maintaining ethical integrity. The summary also invites the possibility of a Higher Intelligence at play in eroticism.
